Unemployment benefits have been extended 13 months through the end of 2011. In the bill passed in late 2012, the Federal unemployment insurance benefits and the emergency unemployment compensation benefits are extended one year.

The exclusion of the first $2,400 of employment benefits from taxable income was not extended in 2011 and are not part of the new bill.
