Maximum Earning Limits (Social Security)

Medicare (HI only) has no limit for any year after 1993. Total combined tax rate remains at 7.65% for employees and 15.30% for the self employed. The maximum tax paid by an employee is $6,045 and $14,917.50 for the self employed.
